On a website that has filled in boxes, recently when press tab key a backslash occur in that box before going to another one

Whenever I am on a website that has fill-in boxes, and I fill one box and want to go to the other, I press the tab key, which moves me to the next box. I have had this computer for a few months, and it has always worked ok, but recently, whenever I press the tab key, it will put a backslash at the end of whatever I put in that box before going to another one. I have cleaned the keyboard several time, but no help there. Can you please help?
