Recently my system crashed (refused to boot up) and I had to replace my BIOS to get it running again. This bug appeared before the crash and has persisted (despite my reinstalling Windows). No varus was found by any of the latest scanners.

The bug is this: a number of keys on my keyboard input multiple characters. Pressing 'a' or 'i', for example, outputs 'ia'. A comma outputs ',' followed by pageup. At least a dozen keys of all sorts are affected.

You could install PC chillin and this program will find the bug and clean it up You can also reformat the hard drive and that also would get rid of the problem.
