SCANNER INSTALLATION

Have successfully instlled the prniter and fax portion of the HP K80 from the internet software. But the scanner is not recognized. I just tried to reinstall the software and received "An error occurred during the installation of the device. The printer driver is known to be unreliable.". The system recognizes the scanner, but the properties status is "unavailable". The port is \\ \Dot4scan0. Could this be the problem? If so, I have no idea how to fix it! Thank you.

First remove the software for the scanner of your computer, and disconnect the scanner from the computer Then install the software before connecting the scanner back to the computer If you didn't do this it will cause some errors For any hardware that's added to a computer that comes with a software, you must install the software before connecting the hardware Carlos Millan Jr.
