When my speakers are attached, my computer volume is fine and loud from the speaker amps. However when I attach a headphone, with the windows volume all the way up and the audio system set to headphone configuration, the volume is pretty low. There is no volume control on my sound card; it is integrated with the mobo. I can't figure it out.

Go to control panel and choose the sound and audio option here you can increase the volume of both the speakers and the headphones if that doesnt work them there is something wrong with your headphones.
