I have recently encountered a strange problem involving freezing and my CD-RW drive. My computer has been frequently freezing, and can only be restarted through manual restart. In addition, many times as the computer is restarting, a message saying " The following configurations have been changed: C:drive and E:drive" or something very similar, without any prompting or changes that I made. Upon restart, my computer no longer recognizes the F:drive, or CD-RW, and it is as if it is not even installed. After completing a system restore, the drive reappears as normal, but the computer freezes once again, and the whole process begins again. Any ideas?

Your cd-rw drive may not be compatible for your computer, you should check that out, and then get one that will work with your system Check with the manufacturer of the CD-RW and ask about hardware and software requirements Maybe you just need to upgrade the drivers from their website.
