Whats wrong with keyboard and mouse?

this is my problem. I will boot my computer and join an online game or use software and after running this for about 15 minutes my keyboard and mouse lock up. The game will continue (e.g. Ill keep moving and the people around me are moving..Im not frozen) but my mouse/keyboard won't respond. I have recently checked and cleaned my fans and they are running good so i dont think its overheating, is ithis a motherboard issue, what can i do to find out what my problem is? *bangs head on monitor* PLEASE HELP ME! MEDIC!!!

First check if both are plugged in right, and nothings loose, go into the bios setting make sure everything is in place, and when the computer starts make sure it read mouse and keyboard detected, if not try out different mouse and keyboard
