Let Data Doctors be your personal IT department today

Sorry,I accidentally asked my question on the previous page:(

I keep getting an error msg "a document with the same name is already open, yatta, yatta, yatta". The file will open but I need to know how I can tell if another doc is open with the same name. Please help, this is making me nuts!!

I listen to your show via the internet as much as possible.

Thank you, Veronica Selmer, Page, AZ

Well if you have a file opened and you're working with it then you cannot do the following copy and paste if somewhere else Send out via e-mail or to a disk So if you are working with that file and you are trying to open the same file again it wont work that's why you get that error message unless you change the save as type option, which you get when you first save the file in the first place Ex if you have a file which is a word document and you have saved it as a .Doc file then you can save it again but change the save as type to Rich Text Format Then you can open the same file twice If you didn't do this then you should be getting that message.
