The pc in question generates a number of error screens when I open Internet Explorer (5). The first thing that happens is the standard white error box. The title is Iexplore and it says: An error has occurred.....close or ignore. It doesn't matter which button I click, it then gives me a blue screen fatal exception message. The address is 0137:BFF9A3C0. It says to press any key to continue. Then it gives me another white error boc titled Iexplore. It says that IEXPLORE caused a general protection fault in module GDI.EXE at 0005:000032e9. When I click on close it gives me a partial desktop back. (ie: a desktop with pieces missing) This problem suddenly popped up one day. I have scanned for viruses with no result. I reloaded the browser, again with no positive result. Any ideas on how to fix this??? I thought about reloading Win 95. Please let me know what you think.

The best thing you can do is upgrading to an earlier version of OS
