Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would know why my monitor is shutting off on me periodically? I have to restart my computer to get it to turn back on. I've tried 2 monitors and they both do the same thing.

I have an ASUS P4S8X-X MB with an Intel P4 Processor. ATI Radeon 9000 128Mb. DDR card etc. The only thing I can think of is that it's a bad Vid card. Any other suggestions?

Hello ...

Hmm this is kinda odd. I do have a suggestion though.

when you restart your computer does your monitor stay on for a certain amount of time each time ? Or is it different ex: 20 mins one time 10 mins another etc tec.

Because my advice would be to check your power options options To do this you would right mouse click on your desktop go to properties click the screen saver tab. look down and click on power under power schemes tab check to see if your monitor is set to turn off at a certain time try taking that opton off. Hit apply then okay and see if the problem happens again..

I hope this has helped you

Good luck
