My computer fouled up to the point that I had to reformat the hard drive. I lost MS Word, the scanner makes an attempt to start (about ten times) and will not scan anything. If I connect it to another computer it will make 3-5 scans and then quit. The most aggravating thing is if I try to run any animation, MPEGS, gifs it will run for 10-15 seconds and then the computer freezes and the cursor disappears. There has also been a problem with modems. I previously was connected to the phone line and went through three modems and had to call the phone company twice to repair the lines. I have been on cable for 3 months and am averaging a modem a month, the last one is a Motorola and has lasted about six weeks. Any ideas?

Is the software on your scanner compatible with the operating system on your computer, if not then you could either find the software that is compatible with your operating system by going to the manufacture's website or upgrading your operating system Carlos Millan Jr.
