I installed 128mb or ram in my PC, when i tried to restart it, a screen came up that said something about extended memory error, then when it tried loading windows it froze up. I shut it off, removed the memory, and tried to restart it again and nothing shows up on the monitor the light stays amber, the PC lights up and it sounds like it runs for a couple seconds, but then it just stops and only the power light is on. what could be the problem

It seem that you might have gotten a lose wire when you try to install the memory back so opem bake the cpu and see if the any wires got lose this might be your problem.
