WHAT IS SET PASSWORDS AT THE USER ACCOUNTS IN THE CONTROL PANEL

When I initially boot up, a password is not requested. In order to get to the progrmmes I require and use, I now have to log-off, now I am asked for password which I enter and my screen has all the programmes I require. My question is:- What must I do to get my unit to request password on initial booting?? Please help if possible.
