What is Modem

I have windows 2000 and my modem is only dailling but never connect to ISP ?I chech my modem is installation is ok .or ISP is also Ok ?please tell me .

If the modem is dailling to the ISP but can not connect there is a posibility that you do not have an account with the ISP first find out if you have an account with that ISP.
