Why when downloading and installing, computer doesn't reboot?

when I have installed any programe or downloaded updates the PC will not reboot and just shuts down when switched back on it starts up in safe mode when its done a scan disc it has to be shut down, start up as normal and it works fine until I instal somthing else and the same problem happens. SOunds like you have a virus, you should scan the computer for viruses That could be causes teh malfunction.
