Cd shatter in the cd-rw drive take out the pieces of cd and close back the drive but the drive wont stay shut

I was playing a music cd in my cd-rw drive, and the cd shattered. I have taken all of the broken cd pieces out of the computer. I took the drive out of the computer and made sure i had all of the pieices out also. Now, whenever i try to close the cd try, it will close and stay shut about 5 seconds and open right back up and it will not stay shut. Can anyone help me? Thanks....

You need to chec the cd-rw drive setting and open the drive and clean it
