I recently bought an ASUS A7N8X motherboard. Most of the time when I boot up, the text is all garbled...starting from the initial video card information display and continuing on through boot-up. Even the BIOS text is unreadable...spaces where there shouldn't be any...characters not displaying correctly...the wrong characters displayed in the wrong places....etc....

At first, I would just restart and it would sometimes clear up and then go into XP...now...it's pretty much always garbled...and it will just go through a bit of the boot-up sequence....then the computer will die. Blank screen...power lights still on and all that...but nothing happening...

Any ideas?

I would check the compatibily with the motherboard and the rams and hard drive that you have connected to the motherboard Since you're able to boot up then check the ram for sure it might need more ram or just some new ram chips Carlos Millan Jr.
