My son's computer turns on & off spontaneously. I was going to reformat the hard disk & re-install Windows but it is not on long enough to copy his music files across to mine over our WLAN. Often it does not even reach the Windows screen before cutting out. Is this a Windows bug or could this be due to something else? My thanks for any help. Nick

I'm going to have to say that your son might have lost the boot up file from your computer What you can do is go to another computer that's running the same windows as your computer then go to start/settings/control panel/add & remove programs and from there you can create a startup disk Make sure you have a floppy with you If this doesn't work then, format your harddrive
