My mouse is a Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer. It works very well for the most part, but does not function at all in Safe Mode. In one software program, I have to deselect "Hide pointer while typing" for the mouse to be totally functional. Device Manager has 3 entries for Mouse: HID-complaint mouse, Microsoft USB Intellimouse Explorer, and PS/2 Compatible Mouse Port. The PS/2 Compatible Mouse Port entry has a yellow circle with an exclamation point in it in front of the entry. What can I do to make the wireless mouse work in Safe Mode? Or do I need to revert back to my wired mouse when booting to Safe Mode. If so, would I have to uninstall and reinstall software whenever I did this?
Thank You,
Lori Fox

To use wired mouse you don't need to uninstall and and reinstall any software For the wireless mouse you can install the driver under safe mode providing the cdrom drive is functioning.
