an inactive modem?

It seems as though when I leave my computer on for more than 10 or 15 minutes the internet connection becomes inactive to a point where I must reboot to get the cable modem active again. Why is this happening?

Thats interesting, if your not active on the internet it be because your not useing it and after a while it logs off its self, just like the computer its self, i could be in a class using a computer and after a while not useing it, when i go back its off, so there be not be anything wrong with your computer.
