Loaded new microsoft rolling ball to microsoft optical mouse Then got a error messagelost some programs

I loaded a new mouse, microsoft rolling ball to microsoft optical mouse. Then I began getting error message upon startup... Cannot find C:\Prog^1\TEMPCL^1\TEMPCL^1.BAT

Also some desktop icons changed, and do not function. It says the program is missing or not installed. I have lost some temp setups such as photo slide shows also.

You need to check the mouse connection and check the and the desktop connection
