Ive had several computer crashes over the past month or so. The last one, my computer would freeze just after Windows desktop had loaded and during the time it was loading the startup items in the system tray. The only way I could get access to my computer was to use the start up disk and I re formatted. I ran an up to date Virus Program, thinking maybe I had gotten something, it all came out clean. My computer ran fine for a week or so, now its flipping out again!! No matter what I put in the CD Rom, it always thinks its a Music Disc. Since I just re formatted, I only have the vital programs installed, AVG Anti Virus, ZoneAlarm Firewall, Pest Patrol and a few other downloads that I have used before and have always worked fine. A friend told me that he thought that my hard drive was going out and I needed to replace it. I have also noticed that on boot, theres something strange that I know has never been there before, but it flashes soo quickly, I cant seem to get the whole thing. Its several lines of aaaaaaaaaaa, that I know I see. Is the hard drive going bad, or do I have some sort of Virus or neither?

I think that your friend is right If you have a lot of things in your computer such as files or programs you have installed, that can make your computer run slow of if you have anything that you might have tried to download that wasn't really compatible with your system may have caused this situation But what I would try to do is a simple upgrade after that just make sure that whatever you have on your computer is really the things you need Keep every file that you can on floppy that way you wont lose anything important But if you want to change your hard drive for something that can support more just make sure that your motherboard can support it Carlos Millan Jr.
