I have purchased a lemark inkjet printer and am connecting it to my base unit, the old printer removed was connected by toggle type connectors, the new printer has a believe a usb cable, it informs me to marry up the connector symbol, but on the rear of my Hewelett packard base there are 2 symboled ports, i have connected to both ports but it will not install because it says the printer is not connected, the cable is ok i have tested it on a friends and it is ok. I am unsure what to try next please advice if i have to set up anything prior to attempting to install.

Please Help many thanks Michael

I wouldn't recommend you install anything if you arent sure, for the reason being is that is a way to mess something harmful to your set, make sure you read well the manual and then go by its one by one instructions.
