How can I fix the color images of my computer?

My computer icons on my desktop are black, i have tried everything to get the colour back but nothing has worked. Also, the background of my desktop is very blotchy and not as bright as it used to be. Please help! Thanks x

By the sounds of this looks like you might need to open up your set, and check if there is something with the wiring, dont do much, if you dont know exactly about it but in any case after you are done doing that contact your local repairment, should be able to help.
