Whether your out of space or just cluttered up, you can fix this by changing your default folder from My Documents to any other folder you want.

Is your My Documents folder getting cluttered? You can make any folder the default folder for saving Word documents by using a feature in the tools menu
Follow the steps below to clean the clutter:
1 Open your Tools | Options dialog
2 Go to the File Locations tab
3 Select Documents & click on Modify
4 browse to a new folder in the Look in field
5 Click on OK & your done
Now you have cleaned up clutter and organized your folder as needed.
