I have a disc for the A drive that I have used for months. However, when I went to open the excel workbook from the disc it tells me that the disc needs to be formatted. When I try to see the drive in My Computers it can't be see. Then I go upstairs to an older laptop and it tells me that the file may be in a read only file or the server that the document is on can't be accessed. I can see it in the my computer file and it will attempt to open. Also, I have word documents on it that will open just fine with no problems. What can i do to get the excel file to open or how can i recover it because i desperately need the info that is on there???

Think back to when you last used the info needed and think after that did you upgrade your microsoft office??? cause if you did no problem Open excel then go to open files and go to your disk then click on files of type and change it to either all files or whatever year your excel was or is If that doesn't work then go to a computer where it does open and e-mail it to yourself Carlos Millan Jr.
