How can i get my games to work, from downloading?

Each time I put a game in it states that i need to have a indeo codec download since windows does not have this on thier xp-home edition, they state they used to but not anymore.

Does this sound right. They gave me a site where i can download this for 14.95

My kids games work ok but the war games and action games do not unless i download this.

I do have direct-x 9.0

Well like you said, no it doesn't make any sense but hey I would still suggest that you do the download.
