What is an Authentication error?

Can you tell me what an Authentacation error is ? My sister is having problems getting on the internet. do you think you can help me with this as I can realy the answer to her .Thank You

Authentication is when you are recognized, what you would for ID to use your computer and also for the password, your sister is probably having a problem with that matter, it can be that she forgot her password or something relatad to the matter.
