my computer does not turn on . When you push the on switch it begins sounding long beeps at 2 to 3 second intervals continuiously. I have tried the Mother board without sucess. I can not find this beep error in any of the trouble shooting guides I have. What does this Mean?

Hello..

There could be a number of problems with the beep codes Since you said it gives you one long beep i can narrow it down to about two things

One - Memory (most common with one long beep). Try taking the memory out the slot in your mother board and then reseating it back in the same memory bank Make sure you discharge yourself from static you can do this by rubbing your hands on the unpainted surface of your computer case before touching the memory Make sure the memory is placed all the way in and seated firmly.

Two - Video card You will want to pull out the video card fro the PCI slot and push it back in firmly (remember to discharge yourself again) once it is seated in firmly pop your case back on and plug everything in and turn your computer on..

And hopefully your problem should be solved

I hope you have found this helpful.

Good luck
