I downloaded AdAware per your recommendation on the show. I scanned one of my drives but now I have no idea how to interpret the data so that I know what files to delete. I would appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks,

John Deidiker

PS. If you answered my question on the show, my apologies. I only listen the the radio, even your show, while in the car.

Hello John,

Good decision in going with adaware it is definately a good program From my experience when it finds traces of things on your computer It seems to be a lot of tracking cookies from web sites and things of that nature As well as registry values put in by some programs What you could do to determine what they are is. once something is found, after scanning is complete, you can double click on each item and it will tell you a briefly what the file is and the warning level Then you can make your decision from there A great feature of adaware is the quarintine feature which allows you to quarintine items found This is incase you did want them or need them you could restore it So have no fear about removing those things. Just quarintine them for a few days see if it has any affect and if not you may delete perminately.

i hope this has helped you

Good Luck John
