Installed microsoft works suite 2002 on my computer last year 2002 and have been getting a error when i try to access it

I installed Microsoft Works Suite 2002 on my computer last year (2002) and I have been getting a error when I try to access it. The error reads The NTVDM CPU has encountered a illegal instruction CS:053a IP:013c OP:fe ff ff ff 00 Chosse close to terminate application.

What could be the problem?
