What is video

When I start the computer it starts as usual, it goes through all the usual checks even the scandisk, this can all be seen and the signal to the monitor is fine its just when the computer goes to the log in screen the monitor goes into stand by mode and there is no signal from the computer and so we see ablank screen. The computer is still working as you can log on and windows starts and the log on jingle is played. So what do you think the problem can be? I've tried another monitor and it does the same thing.

Maybe your video card need to change or the driver need to update.
