We recently moved. When I setup my computer again, I went to re-load some of my games. A trial version of "Spider-Man" from the DVD, "Deer Hunter 4", "Wild Wings Bird Hunter", "Quake II", "MS Golf", etc. With every single game, when I go to startup, I get the error message, "A required .DLL file, DINPUT.DLL, was not found." Nothing else is affected on my system that I can see, just when I'm trying to start these particular kind of games. By the way, "Quake", the first version, works just fine. HELP!!

Thank you,

Casey

DirectInput is a part of DirectX and is used by games and multimedia applications to support mouse, keyboard, joystick and other input devices.

Most common on screen error messages are: File Not Found, Missing File, Exception Errors.

Solution: download the file from a web site such as dll-files.com.

Instructions: download the file to your desktop If its zipped unzip it Navigate to your widows system folder (my computer>c drive>windows>system) and drop it in, or copy and paste.
