How do you customize a Windows 98 startup

when i start my computer there are icons at the bottom right how do i get rid of this because i was told by aol that the icons take up my system resources and my system resources are low so if you could tell me how to get rid of those icons so that every time i start my computer they are not there thank you

Depending on the program, you can go into its properties or options menu and disable the icon.

What you want to also do is go to start>run> and type msconfig Go to the startup tab and uncheck all programs that you want to disable at startup

You can also go to

start>settings>taskbar & start menu, click the start menu programs tab, click advanced, expand programs, scroll down, left click on start up, now you can delete any other programs you do not want to have ran at start up.
