I am a Windows XP user. I log on to my user account and for awhile everything works fine but then the computer starts going into standby mode for no reason and without warning. I have tried system restore and finally wiped out the hard drive, but it didn't work. It has taken me 15 minutes to type this because it has gone into standby 5 times. I am very dependant on my PC for work and really need your help. Do you know what's wrong?

Check your power management and reset to default and see if that would work You can also check your BIOS settings and correct it from there.
