I was trying to get my win 2000 PC to communicate on the network with my xp machines. I changed a setting in network settings to log in as administrator I believe without putting in a password. Now the PC will not start windows because it says it has an invalid user name or password. The only option it gives me is to try and log onto the network by dial up modem or to restart or shut down. How do I log back in and change this setting so that I can use this computer again? Even better would be to have it allow file sharing with the XP machines.

Thanks,

Frank

The way you can bypass the password is by created windows 2003 startup disk and bootup from the floppy It would go straight into windows and there your can change the password.
