How can I avoid getting a message everytime I click on my hp Director icon?

I get the following warning message after i double click on my "hp Director" icon:

your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly.

normally, a dialogue box should appear allowing me to print/scan/copy after i double click on the desktop icon.

HP director: application to manage the printing/scanning/copy features of my HP PSC1200
