I am not able to log onto the internet. Normally I hear the modem dial, which I do not hear now. After trying to do a diagnostic, the computer is telling me that my inf file for the modem may be expired. It tells me to call the modem manufacturer and get an updated inf file. I called compaq and waited intil I needed a shave. Can you help me? The modem is a compaq 56K-DF.
