I have two computers doing the same thing. Both are P4s with more that a 1GB of memory. And both are running WinXP (one is PRO and the other is HOME versions).
When you double click the INTERNET EXPLORER icon to start to get "on-line" ( we use dial-up) it takes over 60 seconds for the IE screen to be displayed. The hour glass goes away shortly after double clicking the IE icon. So you wait for about 60 seconds and nothing is happening then "pop" the IE screen shows up. I've checked for viruses and spyware and nothing is found. Can you help?

Do you have this problem with other programs also? If yes you might have to defragment your Hard Drive The problem can also be because you are using dial up, which is slow, to speed it up switch to Cable or DSL.
