How can I get my Fax Modem to work on my computer?

Hi ,

i have a Motorola 56Kbps Fax Modem, It works properly in any other computer. but when i installed it in mine, os also detects it and install modem but when i double click on Modem Icon in Control panel it shown that no modem is installed.

In Device Manager, a gray color icon is displayed at modem tab. on clicking on more info to check modem connectivity it prompts that port is not found.

so please do me a favourable reply.

Probably the reason it works fine elswhere and not in your computer is because the settings need to be done to your computer so it can work in it.
