MY ORIGINAL QUESTION: Older machine, boots to the C prompt, but Win 98 is in the D drive - hard drive partitioned to C & D, with D being the main partition. How do I get Win 98 (D partition of hard drive) to open, when all I can get is the C prompt in DOS when I reboot the computer?

YOUR ANSWER (Posted by Student of Katharine Gibbs School - New York): You can type win98 in the c dos prompt, this should take you to win 98.

YOUR DISCLAIMER: This question was answered on August 5, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since then.

RESULTS: I get an error message "Bad command or file name" and it returns to the C DOS prompt.

Do you have another suggestion?

Thank you,
