What is sound

My microphone quit working after I installed AcerRack,

AcerRack is an old program made to work with an old sound card on another computer.

I think I messed up the microphone driver. How can I reset software. AcerRack does not have a uninstall.

Go to control panel and click on add/remove hardware and seclect the card and click remove.
