Want to know if you could use outlook express 6 to do that

I'm using outlook express 6 for my home e-mail. At work I use outlook 98.

At home I want to be able to open and read an e-mail and with it open delete it without it opening the next e-mail. I want it to return to the inbox after deleting it. I can do that with outlook 98 because there is an option for that. Can I get outlook express 6 to do that ?

With all the viruses out there it looks like an important option.

Yes check in the mail settings of the control panels Tools mail options tab if available for Express.
