Need help upgrading?

I have a Dell Optiplex GX1 with Window NT 4.0 with 10 GB HD plus 128mb RAM. I want to upgrade to Maxtor 80 GB Ultra ATA 133 HD and upgrade to Window XP. Will not recognize Window XP and the 80 GB HD. I do not have the original system software. i bought the system used. It is working fine, but I just want to upgrade the hardware and system software. It used to be a office computer. Can you help me?

To get win xp to work on ur computer set both HD in make sue the old on is in also both HD will be on master jumpers now install winxp. if that does not work use your 80 GB HD with winxp. also you can format your computer then install winxp.
