Help!

Whenever I sign onto the web:

a. the hard drive light begins blinking,

about once every two or three seconds

b. the modem Tx/Rx lights blink about

once every five hard drive clicks

What is going on?

What program is scanning my hard drive,

and then sending information to a remote

server?

How can I find out the IP address and domain

name of the server?

How can I find out what process is running

on my PC that is doing this?

Notes:

1. PC Environment: Win 98 SE, IE 6

with all current update installed.

2. Web ISP: worldlinkisp.com

3. Other: ZoneAlarm, Norton Anti-Virus

with all virus updates installed.

Thank you.

Keep up the great work!

Sincerely,

Patrick Moss

Hello Patrick,

First off you should calm down Pat hahaha.

From what you describe in your question about the lights blinking everything seems fine Nothing seems to be the problem Hard drive lights blinking is normal and so is the lights on the modem you have That just shows connectivity and traffic coming in and out Your on the Web so data is constantly coming in and out Long as your not gettin any error messages or anything sounding weird your fine Keep your windows updates up to date along with your virus scanner and you should be fine :)

I hope this has helped you

Take care Patrick
