What could be a keyboard driver

I have two usb ports on the back I plug my new keyboard to a adapter and the adapter plugs into the usb port my light on the keyboard comes on but I can't get it to work. also my dig.camera is hooked up to it and doesn't work. how do I check the usb port out.

I had a similar problem and what caused it was the keyboard wasn't compatible to use with a usb port Yes some functions work but not all I needed to download drivers for my keyboard for the usb to work Also ckeck if you have a conflict with your IRQ's
