I have built my hardware in my tower and I am now at the stage where I want to load up my drivers for my operating system. However this is really difficult as XP is saying drivers are missing or corrupt and when I do load other drivers on it makes others corrupt. The computer is being built with a little standard software (Word, Excel) but will mainly be used for creating, editing and producing music using Cubase. Therefore I have a fast processor and an expensive Terratec AudioSystem DMX 6fire 24/96 soundcard. Is there an order to loading on drivers and how do make all the components work happily together?

Hello.

First you should check Microsoft's web site at there HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) also now called the Windows Catalog to see if your hardware is being supported by Windows XP This is a very important thing to check because if your hardware is not supported it will not work and could cause other problems for other hardware Given your hardware is supported I would do a microsoft update to make sure i am current with patches and drivers If still no drivers are found for your hardware You should consider going to the manufactuers web site of that hardware and download the latest drivers.

I hope this has helped you

Good Luck
