Where my hard drive space?

My C drive is an 80 gig hard drive. Not too long ago it said that I had 5 gigs used and 65 gigs free. Now for some reason it says I have used 65 gigs and only 5 gigs free. There is no possible way!! The only thing I can think of is that I used EraserTech to clean my files (thinking a wipe of this magnitude would give back some memory from previously deleted files). Could that have caused a problem? How do I find where all of my memory went to? I removed some programs that I never use by going to add and remove programs but that didn't buy me much.

My E drive is also 80 gigs (which I use for back up purposes) and instead of reading 5 gigs used and 65 gigs free it reads 14gigs used and 60 gigs free - better but not true.

thanks for your time and espertise, mark

Well the problem is that some how you mustve saved something in your file that you didnt want to save in the first place there for filling up your hard drive and therefor taking up all the space in your hard drive Just go and delete the files that are most important and keep the rest And if your looking for a place to find deleted files go to the recycle bin thats where all the deleted files go to.
