Here we go again,

You have been so much help in the past.

I had to install a new motherboard and processor in my sons machine.

were running XP home. Is there a way to Have XP in the repair mode start and replace the boot sector, because of the new chipset on the new motherboard ? or must the hard drive be formatted and start from new.

I hate to loose all that he has on it, although most is backed up to cdroms.

In advance Thank You

Joe R.
