My brother, who liives in NY, recently bought his first computer. He has no prior computer experience so I get all the questions when he has a problem. A few weeks ago he began getting and error message when he tries to shutdown his system. The complete message is:

End Program-c\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\svchost

Windows can not end this program. It may need more

time to complete an operation.

To return to Windows and check the status of the program

click cancel.

If you choose to end the program immediately you will lose

any unsaved data. To end the program now click end now

Can you tell me how to help him clear this up. I will be making a trip to NY in a couple of weeks so hopefully I will be able to help him then.

Thanks,

Rich Rossi
