What is drivers

Where can I locate the latest driver for my Texas Instruments OHCI compliant IEEE 1394 host controller.

I'm aswim on the mfgr's web sites. kb's are over my head. Help!

You are correct try the manufacture web site, once their search for Texas instruments ohci compliant ieee 1394 host controller once you find the drivers create a folder on your computer and then down load the drivers into that folder.
